Mares BCD - Slight Leak

While washing by BCD in freshwater the other day i noticed a tinu air leak from the top of the bcd near the neck.

Is there some adhesive i can buy to smear over the hole?

The BCD is only 1.2yr old, having looking t the Mares Warranty T & S' it doesn't look like they will cover it...

I have heard of using Aqua seal for repairs but I don't know if you can trust if for something like a BC...

does your BCD have an inner bladder, or is the outer denier the air retention device as well?

If there is an inner bladder, then it should be able to be removed and repaired, unless it is at a seam... any chance you can take some pictures?

Aquaseal will work just fine, so will marine goop, if you really want security get a bicycle innertube for 3 bucks and cut a patch to glue over the hole...

I only noticed it when cleaning it, a small stream off bubbles at the indent between the top and back of the BCD. Its about 6 stiches in from the label, i can't even see it.

I thinking of running line of aquaseal along it just to reenforce and prevent any tearing.

Remember that to stop the leak you need to seal the bladder directly, if you can't access the bladder (i.e. through the codura covering in the picture) you can't really be sure you've sealed the leak. It could be leaking anywhere, and the air is just migrating up to a point of escape through the shell exterior of the jacket...you can try it if you want, but if you can't access the bladder it might be more trouble than it's worth...

...sorry to be the bearer of bad news
