AWAP,
I slipped it out of the console and it does have a screw on face plate. I wonder if I opened it up and cleaned it out could I get another 26 out of it......I might have to do it just for $hi## and giggles. But I think it time for a new one.

Jokes aside, I'd be a bit concerned because this *is* your SPG. It may just be a few drops now, but especially if you dive in salt water, it may lead to problems in the future. Corrosion might affect how the bourdon tube flexes, affecting the accuracy, for instance. Worse, if it causes the tube to fail, the gauge may blow (is there a little rubber plug on the back of the SPG? If not, a high pressure blowout will likely cause the glass or plastic faceplate to shatter outwards). Just get a new one, and give your current one an honorary place on your mantle amongs your scuba awards and trophies.

If that is what failed, I don't see why not if you can neutralize the corrosion that has occurred.. But if the OP plug failed, I'm not sure where you can get a replacement. If it is one of the 2" scubapro SPGs, let me know. I do have a few o-rings for them.

I'm with Gombessa on this one. It had a great life, but those gauges are not meant to be opened up and fixed. I think it is time to visit your dive shop...

I think I recall seeing something about water in the face not affecting the performance of the gauge itself, that is until corrosion sets in. So if its not corroded inside you could replace the oring and still use it. That said, I'd probably retire it at this point and get something new, they're not too expensive.
