Water in my pressure gauge.

Just pulled my regulator of the drying rack and noticed my pressure gauge has water in it.... Not a good thing.

Most pressure gauges are oil filled so it may not be water.

Oh its water. I am a licensed water protection proffesional. I can identify water most of the time. I can see corrosion on the dial. I bought this pressure gauge brand new in 1982, can't understand why it up and died.

you should have a nice burial for your hard working pressure guage & find a nice shiny one to replace it.

Ya think? Now all I have to do is figure out what gauge to get. Back in 82 I think we had maybe 3 or 4 choices. I just got a wrist computer because I thought my console would go on forever. I guess I could get anew console with a computer and then have a backup.

Get a brass and glassl one rather than plastic. Will cost a bit more but will last forever (almost!)

Edit: something like this: XS Scuba Brass and Glass SPG Module

Many are sealed with a o-ring that can be replaced if the face will unscrew. A good rinsing and a little WD-40 might bring it back. At least make it good enough for a backup SPG.

Don't tell me, the warantee was only good for 25 years, and now in the 26th year it fails.
