Too bad you can't get parts for some of the regs such as Aqualung.

Someone should really start making generic parts, you would make a fortune.

You're correct that an overhaul kit isn't supposed to be purchased by end-users wanting to service their own regs. Nevertheless, some divers who have a good relationship with their LDS can obtain such kits. It definitely isn't the norm, though.

If you need to purchase any of the other reg parts, e.g. case cover, heat exchanger, etc., you can order them piecemeal through an authorized LDS. Simply reference the part number from the exploded parts diagram of the official technician's manual. I have been able to obtain Aqualung and Apeks parts this way. It's not cheap, but it can be done.

BTW, great link, mrbheagney. It's almost laughable that people are selling CDs containing PDFs of these manuals which can be found for free on the web.

I just recently bought a faceplate direct from Oceanic Aus, the part cost $13 and the shipping and Ins cost $18. I could almost buy new regs from ST for that money.
