Water that comes in through the 1st stage will be contained in the bourbon(sp?) tube and not be visible unless the gauge is toast anyway. Many plastic gauges seems to be glued but the metal gauges I've seen can be disassembled and cleaned. I suspect that face will unscrew. I have repaired metal SPGs that leaked through a damaged lens or due to a failed o-ring between the lense and the main body.
Good luck.

I actually tried to unscrew the face and could not get a good hold on it... I did not try real hard, but I may get it apart one way or another just to take a look at the insides....

Well I tried the strap wrench and NO GO...
So I pulled out the BIG Pipe Wrench and tried and tried but could not get it to unscrew, so I just put a bunch of torque on it and busted the glass... FYI - HOG SPG's are pressed together.... Once the glass busted I was able to pry it apart from the inside... I just thought I would post a pic for those that have never seen the inside of a pressure guage... ![]() Phil

Understanding how things work is necessary to fully understand how they fail. And that can be very important in our sport.
