So, Recon, what you're saying is that your Sava-a-dive kit comes with it's own address and sales staff?
I would add:

$50 Bill
A copy of your "C" card.
Small dykes & small needle nose
I also carry a script from a real "Dive Doc" for an antibiotic that will cure most anything dive related.
Small 1 oz of vinegar
DAN cards
stainless steel wrench,
stainless steel scuba tool,
stainless steel EMT shears,
lighter

Here is something I found online:

Another I found online

Medical Save-A-Dive Kit
  • Tylenol and Ibuprofen (headaches, muscle strains, general aches and pains)
  • Bonine or Dramamine (seasickness)
    • Prescription Transderm Scop is an alternative
  • Phenergan (nausea – in case you get really seasick despite the above!)
  • Sudafed (decongestant for sinus and or ear congestion)
    • Prophylactic use for patients with difficulty clearing their ears is controversial
  • Afrin Nasal Spray (same as above)
    • Don’t use for more than three days in a row
  • Ciprofloxacin (Cipro)
    • This broad spectrum antibiotic will cover a broad range of infections (urinary, gastrointestinal, lung, skin, ears, sinuses) at least for a few days until you can get medical attention
  • Monistat (women only) – Cipro (see above) can cause vaginal yeast infections
  • Swimmer’s Ear solution
    • Purchase at pharmacy or make your own. It’s just water, vinegar, & isopropyl alcohol with a little bit of oil mixed in
    • Recommendation is to use it twice per week during your dive trip to help prevent external ear infections (otitis externa)
  • Cipro HC Otic Solution – ear infections.
    • Don’t use if there is concern of eardrum perforation
  • Quixin Opthalmic Drops (conjunctivitis, “styes”, etc of the eye)
    • This is probably overkill unless you’re prone to these infections
  • Neosporin ointment (cuts, scrapes)
  • Benadryl (rashes)
  • 1% Hydrocortisone cream (rashes)
  • Imodium (traveler’s diarrhea – though if it’s not severe, it’s better to let it clear on its own)
  • Insect repellant with DEET (Skin so Soft as an alternative)
  • Immunizations & Malaria prophylaxis

Dan Cards need to be applied for still (i know i am a bad boy for not having them yet) Called the doc to get a script, she told me to get real, guess i have to find a dive doc, cause my PCP will not just write me an antibody for no reason. Vinegar I am confused over though, I have the ear-dry, why do I need vinegar?

Times are getting tough, I had to fire the sham-wow guy, but the rest of the staff that lives in the box is still there, and yes the address is 1100 and a half... Recon Dr.

a copy of your c-card is a great actually. I was toying with the idea having a dog tag stamped out with my c-card info just in case I needed it. don't know if I could talk a dive shop into accepting it though.

A lot of good suggestions in here!
So far all I have is spare fin straps, spare mouthpiece, computer battery, multi-tool ... and once I exchange my Atomic frameless for something that fits better I'll have a spare mask.
I'll add more stuff as I get more dives in!

Zip ties... I can not tell you how I love zip ties enough, they have so many uses and could save a dive in a hurry if you have a couple and something breaks down on you.

Okay, so I could not sleep tonight, and I got bored, so I decided to put together a checklist of mostly everything that everyone has said they keep in their S.A.D. kit. I have been using Office 2007 so I do not know if you all can see the style tables that I put in, so I am going to try to paste the text in here, and also attach the file. My mind is not 100% clear right now, I am down to about 4" viz, so I hope that this makes sense to someone other then me. Enjoy. Okay... so that didn't work as planned inserting pdf...

It does not look like my check boxes or formatting came through, I hope that you all get the point... Also, I can not attach the file cause the file size limit for .xls files is 97.7 KB, so, if you want the file, PM me and I will get it to you sometime tomorrow....time for bed....
