When I ascend my wisdom computer does the safety stop at 20 ft instead of 15. This is really annoying because when I am doing shallow diving, it logs several dives. How can I change this setting to 15 ft. I have tried reading the manual and going through the setup screens.

My Aeris starts the safety stop timer at 20' also. This is not a problem in itself. I sometimes stop at 20' for one minute, then 15' for one minute, and finally 10' for one minute.
My DC "stops" the dive at 5 fsw on ascent. Could it be that your shallow dives are taking you shallower than 5 feet? IIRC if I stay at five feet for five minutes and then descend, it will record this as a second dive.

this is not causing it to log several dives, however... even when the stop timer starts, and expires, you don't have to ascend, and the computer knows that, so it keeps on logging just like a normal dive... it's when you spend time shallower than 5 feet that it starts logging them as multiple dives - this is not user adjustable, it is just the sensitivity of the depth sensor that they are taking into account...

Or are you saying that every time you go shallower than 20' it counts down 3 minutes and ends the dive? Only to start another one when you go deep again? That sounds sort of defective to me... |
