If the dive shop doesn't help you, contact the manufacturer. Most of them should be willing to replace a brand new mask that was obviously defective.
Don't fix it. Not worth it, and not worth the risk of failure in OW, unless you want to keep it for use only in swimming pools. |

More mask frames are broken in the gear bag than by dropping on the ground. Most manufacturers will not warrant a plastic frame against breakage from rough handling. While they might replace it just for grins, they may also say "no". Of course, close inspection will tell if it broke from something hitting it or from over tightening (a manufacturing problem). This is where your store will show their stuff. |

that is a great company... lifetime warranty on the frame - they say it is the strongest frame out there, and it truly is - so strong that whenever a bunch of stress is placed on the mask, the rubber around it tears... they still replace it...

My wife is on her second mask and I am on my tenth mask. We each lost one in Hawaii when we left our masks out on the Lanai over night and little bugs eat around the silicon skirt. Now I always take 3 masks with me wherever I go. 1 for me 1 for my wife and 1 for a spare. They are always in a pelican case sealed up until we intend to use them. I have also sat on my mask a few times. Two years ago I sat on another persons mask. Luck there were spares aboard the boat. I told the dive shop to put any mask she wanted on my account. Lucy for me she didn't want a full face mask! I understand the "Lifetime Warranty" But I just couldn’t expect a company to replace something that I abused. However if I feel it was not my fault I might fight them forever! |

return it, and if they will not exchange it, buy yourself a new one. not at your LDS. ICU Mask [M-ICU] - $26.58 : A1ScubaGear.com, Scuba Diving Equipment, Sales, Scuba Instruction, and Dive Travel
only $27 and looks awesome. Obviously you have not done anything abusive to the mask, so why would they would not replace it, or refund it? what brand was it? dont try to repair it, its not worth it, not only you will have to add silicone syringe to your "save the dive" kit, but you will become a butt of a jokes... but seriously glass sits on the silicone skirt, and frame presses on the glass forming tight seal, if you decide to just glue it, air from the mask may find its way from the mask taking glass with it, and you will ruin your dive... even as a backup - i would not trust it.
