Just being honest here!
My buddies recomended ScubaToys for reg service so I used them about 1 1/2 years ago. Both regs I sent had issues very soon after. I searched around and found a local shop with a guy who knows his regs, and didn't crank them out in a day. The one reg needed lots of work as it is a 10 year old reg I use on my pony settup. The other I sent to Zeagle and they fixed it. My experience with ST mail order reg service was not that great. The shop that impressed me with the service of my old reg is Jupiter Dive Center in Jupiter FL. if anyone is intersted. They have a website. Do a search if you are interested. I'm sure they would do mail order. I have zero affiliation and they are not even my priimary shop I use. Just one of those things I learned the hard way and figured out. |

I ususally have my regs done at my LDS, and they do a great job. I thought I'd save a few $ and check out ST reg service so I sent a SP reg in for...I cant remember if it was just a service or a rebuild...I think a rebuild, but when it came back and I tried it out it didn't breath quite right and sounded kinda like a duck with a tooth ache...wait, ducks don't have teeth do they, anyway I took it into the LDS and they told me that ST did a great job but the adjustment was off a bit, a little tweek and it was breathing like a dream again. SO... there ya go. They do great work but if ya have a problem it's kinda time consuming to get it right, plus the postage could off-set the savings.
