Digging for clams?
Anybody ever dig for clams while under water? wondering if the prevelance/density of clams in some areas makes it worth it to do on scuba i know I see a ton of clam holes when diving a shallow jetty here in San Diego looking for scallops and sculpin. Maybe some big clams under those little holes in the sand? anybody???

Clamming is tough backbreaking work, in many cases they are found in shallow h2o where if you go out a low tide and work the banks you canfind them fairly easily. If your looking to find enough for personal use you can do it easily. If your trying to make a living at it go watch some of the people who do it for a living. In my area there are many people who make good livings clamming but having tried it its very, very hard work.
