Spearfishing or lobstering - where can I learn?

Anyone know any good operators, possibly in FL?

I don't know of any ops who advertise that. Perhaps you can ask for a guide.
These guys are in my neighborhood and offer hunting and bug trips. You might ask if you can hire one of the DM's as a guide.

porsche060, what part of FL R U in? Chad Carney out of Tampa does some incredible spear fishing training. You might also want to check out Spearboard.com and Spearfishingplanet.com. These forums have a wealth of information. Happy hunting.

In my opinion, please correct me if I'm wrong...but the only "real" lobsters are the one's with the monster claws up here in New England, lol.

Just go ahead and grab a Carabean spiny lobster and see what happens. Check out this link titled "Fearless diver gives 8lb Lobster the finger". http://spearboard.com/showthread.php...ghlight=finger
