Lobster Gloves?

Hey guys,

I just ordered a pair of 5 mm Tilos Supratex velcro gloves. I used something similar when I was grabbing bug in Boston Harbor for my instructor on our OW dives, so I figured they'd be ok. Does anyone think differently?

Why do lobsters need gloves?

Actually never used them, so I'm just here to amuse myself. I'm curious about the gloves though. Gonna check them out. I need a good pair of 5 mil gloves.

I havent found a pair that has made it to the next season of lobster diving. I do use the snatch and grap technique and reaching under around rocks does a number on them.

let us know how those hold up.

i know that in florida it is illegal to spear a lobster, unless i think if your free diving you can use a polespear, but, i think thats just hte bahamas?

i know with spiny lobsters down here in florida i just buy some dipped gloves, almost like gardenin gloves just to help with the barbs on their tale.

im not one to wear big clunky 5 mm gloves, but, the akona kevlar are a popular buy when i worked at a dive shop, if you need warmth
