Clams

I saw the surviver man on the discovery channel diving for clams the other day. Has anyone ever done that? Do they taste good?

He actually cooked them in a coconut at the end of the show. It was pretty interesting when he tried to use an oceanic safety sausage to catch fish.

I've been clamming before in New England. It's really a lot of fun. They're so fast though that you have to be on top of your game. Nothing beats cracking a few open on the beach afterwards...

They sense you and then shoot away. They have this thing on them which you look for underwater. It kind of looks like an olive on a New England clam. I have attached a picture of a Carribean clam, you can see what I'm talking about.
