Octopus/Squid

I am usually good around the sea life, but I saw an octopus the other day...That thing was freaky. I will be staying way away from them in the future. I don't see how people would eat that.

It's a dumbo Octopus. They are found in depths where no light reaches and have only been filmed by submercables as far as I know...Pretty cool.

does anyone know how big these things get? I know and heard that squid and octos get pretty large in those depths. I waswondering if this particular animal was estimated. Looks like something out of star trek...
