Favorite fish to shoot and eat

Okay so, lots of fish out in the ocean... For those hunters out there (or people usin rod and reel) whats your fav fish to catch then eat?

Mine is amberjack! Bleed it and clean it right away, and cut into medalions.. prepared with some lobster sauce, oh god. oh god... oh... god...

haha

Hogfish. By far the best eating fish in the ocean.

Black Grouper. They are the most wary fish in this area. That makes the hunt that much more enjoyable/frustrating. Mutton snappers come in second. The big ones are very smart. They will swim away at a slight angle so that they can watch you with one eye. It is rare to get a nice broadside shot at one. The hogs are nice for first time target practice. They almost always give you a broadside shot and are not easily spooked. IMHO

very correct. ive only shot a few blacks just cuz ipretty much suck at it ;P however, its always an easy kill to find a hog fish.. once i had one appear about 40' in distance as a shadow, i swam up to it and it just stared at me, put my gun pretty much on his dead spot and nailed him... i almost felt bad, i think it was diver assisted suicide

I normally lightly bread my fish and pan fry it in margarine. I use some garlic powder, salt, and pepper in both the egg and flower mixture. I've also had it deep fried. Good both ways. Don't over cook your fish, it will lose flavor and get rubbery.

I haven't hunt yet, but for me the tastiest fish is the turbot. There's nothing like a fried one.
