Sometimes being a professional in the Scuba business allows you to witness things that will have you shaking your head for the rest of your life. I was on one of my lead the dive tour excersizes on the way towards my instructors certification. So there are 6 of us in the group, 4 newbies and a more experienced diver that tagged along. Everything was going nice and smooth when I noticed that the more experienced guy was gone. So I parked the newbies on this rather nice and interesting patch reef and back tracked looking for this other guy. Now understand that this was Malaysia and we were Diving the marine sanctuary of of Redang Island. There was a strict no take rule for the area. So after a few minutes I spot the guy sitting on a boulder with his knofe in his hand. As I approached I notice he is prying some mollusk off of the boulder with his knife, then prying open the shell and removing the flesh. Then out come the regulator and in goes the shellfish. He scarfed three of these down between the time I spotted him and the time it took me to swim over. Later his lame excuse was "Hey I did not take them out of the water"
