Underwater Fishing

Ok, I found this advertised on Craigs list: Scuba Stik!
I thought it was a gimmick someone was trying to sell, then I went to the website and thought it was some elaborate joke. But they are saying PADI offers a cert for this and they will have a booth at "Our world underwater".
Is this as stupid as it seems?

no some people do it the thing with that is you can see the fish and put it right next to their mouths, not sure if some places dont allow spear fishing so that might be another benefit

as to a padi cert in case you hadnt notice padi has some of the most idiotic certifications out there imho

Hey, don't knock it! This, plus the HydroOptix specialty, and the Fish ID specialty, and you're over halfway to becoming a PADI "Master Scuba Diver"!

Thats awesome. I never knew there was such a thing. Only problem is fishing and drinking beer go hand in hand. That could prevent a problem underwater.

Bunch of whiners

And yes, some places don't allow spearfishing (or other propulsion fishing), but you can still use other methods
