The fastest current I have ever encountered
was in the Maldives. I'm not good at guestimating current speed but heres an example.
My buddy goes with the current i face into the current and fin as hard as i can We continue to drift side by side as if I wasn't kicking at all Good times...

I understand how strong the current in the Maldives is depends on where you are in the Maldives. |

profound apologies for the delay - work, work work etc
Trip was fantastic and got 16 dives in, all great. First dives of the day were outside the atol, pretty poor vis but great encounters with Mantas and white tips. quite a lot of turtles as well, some friendly and some pretty shy. We dived with Dive and Sail - the DM called Magic was probably one of the best I have dived with. Great thought for all on the trip and went out of his way to make the experience that much better. The second dives were inside the atol and some of the life found on these shallower reefs was incredible. Some really friendly and inquisitive Batfish on one dive (20-30) of them. One thing that did stand out was the boat boys did all the lifting of your gear - you just packed it and they transported it everywhere it needed to be. Managed to also get my Nitrox cert as well. Maldives certainly a once in a lifetime but hell it was one hell of a trip.

You will not be disappointed!
Most diving out there followed the pattern of: Dive 1 - outside atoll, mantas, turtles, sharks. Dive 2 - Inside atoll, shallower, batfish, turtles and a whole plethora of colorful reef fish
