Awesome instructor

I just finished my PADI Open Water class last Sunday (Aug. 3). I had the great good fortune to have Curtis Mueller as my instructor. He was wonderful - kept things light, interesting, but was very thorough and made sure everyone understood the lessons he was teaching. Because he let us know what to expect - and how to react properly - I felt comfortable in the water from the first "dunk."

Nice to see cudos offered. If you really want to be nice to him send a real letter to PADI saying that kind of stuff, as long as he was a PADI Instructor that is of course.

congrats! glad you had such a good instructor. i had a great instructor for my ow too. i think that's what hooked me. the fact tht i didnt feel nervous during my first experience. congrats once again

My dive shop has several instructors, all of which I've had in classes. They are all personable out of the water and great instructors in the water. The shop owner makes sure all her instructors go above and beyond what is required, which is what locked me into a shop 40 miles farther than the closest shop. I like the atmosphere there.

My OW instructor,Yousuke,was awsome. I pannicked on my check out dive, but he calmed me down. I thought I would quit scuba but he worked with me now I love it.
