Congrats. to all who braved the cool water this weekend. May all your Dives be as memorable as this weekend. Was a great group and enjoyed all of you.

Way to go guys. I did my OW with Mac and ScubaToys in Jan 07. Water temp was 46 and air was 35. Brisk. From those photos, it looks like you had the same kind of "fun"

Water temps were about 45, but vis was poor. 10' avg, w/ less at some places, which is surprising for this time of year. Surface winds and intermittent overcast made the SI's chilly. But, the survivors toughed it out and got it done. The others will apparently be doing referrals!!!!

I like the use of "fun"! We had it a little better than you when it came to air temperature. It was in the 50's and it was rough getting out of the wetsuit, I couldn't imagine what it would have been like with the temp at 35!

we didn't have the huge pavilion that you had. Our shelter was the pavilion directly across from the tank fill station. The DMs (Kerry) and Mac did a great job of wrapping tarps around to try to keep out the cold wind. It was still cold. Mac tried to make us comfortable. I like that about Mac; it's all about the students, diving safely, and having fun.
