Congratulations to My Buddy

Steve McKenna who graduates from Jupiter High tomorrow.

You guys who know me remember Steve got his cert about 2 years ago with my kid. He is such a natural he quickly hooked up with the Scuba Club as a dive guide.

He is a good buddy and a friend.

Over the winter he surfed competetively and got no diving in. We went out a week ago with the Club. His first dive in ages. He was diving as a civilian with me. His Dad asked me to keep an eye on him. "Right..."

First dive of the morning He ended up bailing out a diver recovering from an injury. And in this pic, you can see Steve had to take over the float because the DM was dealing with a tourist who was having some issues.

Steve attended the Medical Magnet program at Jupiter and although he will be going to college locally, he really wants to be an EMT/FireFighter.

Good luck to my little Brother.

Outstanding! Always great to see young people who are stoked about diving. Also great to hear he's got an interest in public service. Nothing wrong with doing college and a career with the FD or if the opportunity exists, another career and a volunteer FD gig on the side.
