Another ScubaToys Amazing Business Story!

My father in law had a puck computer and he called me asking if I knew of a place that he could get a wrist strap for it. I immediately told him to check the ST website. He also needed a new battery. Since he lives in Oklahoma and he was coming my way, I sent him ST's address and told him to put it in his GPS and drop by there on the way to my house...and that they would fix him up.

He did that...and they even put the battery in his computer for him. We go to Grand Cayman to go diving 3 days later...and his computer floods in the first 2 mins of the 1st dive.

He drops by ST on his way home to let them know and see what they would do...it was a 3 yr old computer that he didn't buy there. He was expecting $100 off of a new computer or something like that. Nope! They give him a brand new computer...probably better than the one he had.

This is over and above all expectations...and the exact reason why I and my family of 6 different divers will only shop at ST.

Thanks!!!

Wow. Joe and Larry have always done a fantastic job when it comes to getting stuff done, and this is another amazing story. They are our LDS and we live up in Michigan! Anything we can get from them in the future we will.

Wonder if the guy who changed the battery is gonna get spanked.

Wow!!!! That is almost insane. As a customer, I would never have expected that. Sh*t Happens and sometimes you have to just take it.

I have been absolutely fed up with customer service in almost every transaction I make (not with ST). It seems now days, people are selling junk and people that are selling you it, don't have a clue. It is very refreshing to know there are businesses like ScubaToys out there that know what customer service is. This reminds me of an old Ford slogon, "All Fords are created the same, it's your dealer that makes the difference". This is so true with ScubaToys.

This is great customer service, most places would find something else to blame and sell you a new computer. When is ST going to open a store in say maybe...BOSTON!

Hey Splitlip,

I guess because I've been programmed by our businesses that this typically does not happen. I agree that they installed the battery and obviously did something wrong; therefore, they need to make it right. However, in most places would they offer to give you a brand new computer? My opinion, most places may give you a discount on a new one or something like that, but not a new computer free.
