Back Plates & Wings 101

Being a junior diver, I was very confused with all the talk here regarding BP&W. In my beginner class they never mentioned it, so I decided to do a little search. On this forum there isn't a good, comprehensive description of what the thing exactly is (for long time I thought it is something you just add to your current setup).

For a good andunbiased overview go to Backplate and wing - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

to learn more. It certainly helped me.

I was tempted to edit the page to add the popular brands out there and links to their webpages. Other than that the site is fairly good, I think better pictures of the plates and wings separated would be nice.

Of course those aren't the only brands that are available. Some might thinks so but most know better.

They're example photos, dude, not a comprehensive listing of brands. I was addressing Cummings66's wish for better/clear photos of an un-assembled rig. I don't see much point to posting photos of every brand out there, since there's little significant variation.

Hooligan, ask your girlfriend, and if you're lucky, she'll show you.

If I had a girlfriend, I think my wife would probably be pretty upset.
