Book Series for Junior Divers

Hey guys! Just wanted to clue you in on these books. My mom is a teacher and purchased these books at the book fair at her school. They are by Gordon Korman. The trilogy is called "Dive". The three books are titled, "Book One: The Discovery", "Book Two: The Deep", & "Book Three: The Danger"

This is what the back of book one says:
"Kaz, Dante, Adriana, and Star aren't the best divers in the world. But they've been chosen to spend the summer exploring the depths of the sea.

There are only a few problems. First, the sharks. Killer sharks. And the fact that the people running the program are covering up something big...and mysterious.

These four kids are about to make the discovery of their lives - and put themselves in danger because of it"

Anyway, I just finished reading the books. They are an entertaining and easy read. I thought about you guys when I finished them and thought I'd pass the info on. If your interested, here is a link to the books at Scholastic.com that tells you a little more about them and you can see what they look like. And your parents may be able to order them for you there. If you can't get them there you can always try Amazon. Anyway, just thought I'd let y'all know about these. Enjoy!

*Edit*: I should also add that you will want to get all 3 books! Otherwise you will be left hanging!

Hey FOO2,

I finished #2 last night. My son has been reading them so I thought I would too. Very entertaining.

Cool. My child brings home the schoolastic order forms all the time. I'll look for those next time.

They only had book one at my daughter's book fair. I bought it, read it and liked it. My daughter isn't interested right now. Besides she is only nine so I'll keep them for here later. All in all, I thought the first book was a good read. I only had a few minor issues, but some of it was to be expected with a novel of this type.

I know what you mean Kent. The kids do several dangerous things throughout the entire series. I think that it is important to remember that the books are fiction and to remind your juniors reading it that it is fiction. It is not a book to get new ideas from for your next diving adventure. Strictly for fun reading. I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that the author is not a diver.

no he's probably not a diver cause the other two trilogies r about kids getting stranded on an island and climbing mount everest and i doubt that he's a diver, gotten standed on an island, climbed mount everest, and written 9 books (and those arent even his only books)
