Strobe for emergency kit?

I'm looking for a good strobe with a long battery life for my emergency kit. I would like something small enough to attach to the top of my SMB. Any recommendations?

Long life, Bright.

Choose one.

LED last the longest, but is the dimmest. Xeon strobes are bright as heck, but don't last nearly as long.

I am getting this one so I can use it as a backup light and strobe: ACR Firefly Plus - Strobe/Flashlight Combo

10 hours is probably enough. It'll get you from dusk to dawn, for the most part.

I have one of them. It works well and has never flooded.

Leaning towards this one. I like the fact that it has a 30+ hour (in ideal conditions) battery life.

ACR ELECTRONICS, INC. | Personal Rescue Light - Military Specification (3990) | MS2000M from the ShipStore.com ™ on-line catalog.

They show up new on ebay in the $75 range.

I've tried a number of more consumer oriented strobes and had them all crap out eventually. The people searching for you will know what they're looking for with this one.

Wow. Gotta love that it is milspec. How big is it? If I attach it to the top of a SMB will it pull it over?
