I've got 2 or 3 of them.
they are a decent backup light, but not really bright enough to use more than just to get you back to the surface. If using for cavern, etc, you'd want a brighter light. If you're wanting a backup light that is fairly bright underwater for use in total black conditions (like wreck pentration or cavern), I think you'd want a better/brighter light. but just for normal night dives, they are ok as a backup. I've found they are a decent light to keep in the glovebox of your car though. as a note, I've found these cheaper at other stores such as Campmor or REI or other outdoor stores as opposed to dive shops when they have them as "close outs". (typically the older style light that doesn't have the rubber grip on it). They have an LED version of it now also.. but I think it has a slightly different name.
