Lanyard for light?

I just got all my new gear today and I think the only thing I forgot was something to connect my OxyCheq 3 watt LED light to my BCD (and/or to me). It's got a loop on the end, but it came without a lanyard. (Most other lights of this size/style come with lanyards...I don't know why this one doesn't.)

In any case, it seems like the ideal connector would be some sort of lanyard to go around my wrist while using it, but also something to securely attach it to my BCD when I'm not. Or, do folks typically stuff these small lights inside a pocket?

I don't see separate lanyards offered here.

I keep mine in a pocket when I'm not using it, and put the wrist lanyard around my wrist when I am using it. I can drop it to use my hand without losing it.

I am not sure what type of BC you are using, but if your BC has D-rings on the shoulder straps, you could connect your light with a bolt-snap, and secure it to the strap with bike tube or bungee. I have included a few links that will show you what I am talking about. How to Attach a Snap and http://www.gue.com/files/page_images...tor_config.jpg

Your other option is to look for an accessory made by Cetacea. They specialize in accessories for divers. You might be able to find a retractor or lanyard that you could attach your light with. Clips, Lanyards and Retractors

That's probably the best way for the raider. Also ScubaToys just got the "light sock" for the Raider. That will allow you to put it on your hand goodman style.

I agree with a boltsnap so you can clip it to your upper d-ring,with some type of retainer to hold the loose end tight to the harness[less drag/no danglies]If your worried about dropping it you could put a ziptie loosely around your wrist and clip it off while holding it.I have slid them in my sleeve to hold temporarily also. The goodman sleeve that Hooligan posted looks cool too.

I don't use a lanyard when using the small, back-up light. When stowed, mine is snap-clipped to my left shoulder D-ring and held to the strap with surgical tubing.

I don't have lanyards on any of my gear anymore... I think they get in the way and increase the potential of hang-ups when wreck diving. I bolt-snap all of my gear, and it's either in my hand, clipped to my BC, or clipped to a loop in my pocket so it can't fall out accidentally.

My primary Princeton Tec Miniwave is on a locking coiled lanyard clipped to my right shoulder. My backup just goes into my right BC pocket.
