How do these compare to the Oxycheq Raider 1?

Not sure, I have never used one, but from what I have read the Raider 1 is a little brighter, but the Vega is smaller and feels more solid. Since I am using this as a backup I did not care about the extra brightness and really like the smaller size. The other thing that people have said about the Raider 1 is the flickering, which the vega has not had a problem with.

Personally I think that the Raider 1 is a great light for the money. I have actually seen and used them in person. I liked the price of the Vega and from the reviews I have read, I was willing to fork out $100 for two of them and give it a shot.

Have you tried the Vega yet? Don't think I've seen one in the water.

A good point to make, Why spend alot of money on a light your going to uses as a back up, mind you it does need to be bright. These are a bright light, don't let the 3 watt led value fool you. I have two backup lights because they were 40.00 each. If i lose one it was 40.00 not 80.00 or 100.00.

Not even seen one in the water... Like I said, I have seen and used the Raider 1 and from what I have read about the Vega it is a bright light for its size but not quite as bright as the Raider 1. I think that it will serve my purpose...

Look forward to your review. Seemed pretty bright when I saw one in a shop.

I will try to borrow my buddies Raider 1 the first time that I am in the water after I get the lights. If he is up for a dive maybe get two opinions on how they compare.

I have one, and think it's a great light for the price. I clipped mine onto my rig and it stays there. It doesn't get any special treatment, just a rinse with the rest of the gear

It does takes expensive (and small) batteries, if you plan to use it a lot. It's plenty bright for use when it's dark (at night or a cavern or whatever), but it doesn't do much in the daylight. Nothing in this price range does.

I like mine. I would buy another.
