Intova wide torch review

Just got this light through ebay and wanted to post a review on it.

1st thing is this light is small which I did not expect. It is approximately same length as UK SL4 but made out of aluminum, so this baby will not break easy.

It is heavier then the SL4 and Princeton Tec Torent, but not by much. I got the 4.7 watt LED version (stronger of the 2) and with wider beam. I was really surprised to see how wide the beam actually is. It's wider then UK C4 eLED.

Comparing it to the SL4 eLED and Torent LED, I have to say that this one beats them both. A lot brighter then either of them, and as mentioned, beam is really wide.

Best part is, it is less expensive then the other 2.

Only drawback so far is that it uses CR123A batteries, which can be expensive, but an be found for cheap (~$1 each) in several onlne stores.

This would make a great 1st primary light and backup when upgrade is needed.

I have one. I like it alot.
Have not yet had to deal with the batteries, however. It is my back-up.
A powerful tool.

Tusa TUL-300:

Wonder what the price difference would be between the 2. I found Intova on buy.com for $30, which is damn good price if you ask me.

You got that light for 30.00 thats a awesome deal, price difference I think is just because it has the Tusa name on it.

Unfortunately I couldn't get it for that price cause buy.com does not ship to Canada

I got it off ebay and it came out to ~$60 with shipping and conversion rate, which is still a lot better then any LDS. They wanted $90 for SL4 eLED, so I said heck no.

This was about a month ago when i saw this price. Could have been a special of some sort. Amazon has it for 40.99 while buy.com is 41.99 but it has free shipping.

Other diving stores have it for $55+

ebay store I bought it from has it for $44

HTH
