Strobe Recommendations?

LDS doesn't carry strobes so I have no ability to test models out. I'm looking for:

1. Must be able to be taken to 120' on a repeat basis
2. Hold up to abuse - not something flimsy
3. Long bulb life
4. Again, not flimsy since I'm tired of replacing cheap crap

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

What camera/housing?

Hard to go wrong with Inon, D2000 or Z240, but they're not cheap. Fantastic strobes, though.

CompuDude,

Sorry, my post took you the wrong way. I guess I didn't word it correctly.

I'm looking for a signal strobe to mark an anchor line. Any help on that??

Jotron AQ-4. It is very well made but a tad expensive.

Ah, THAT kind of strobe.

The Jotron is great, but expensive (as noted above). There are other options, though, with various advantages and drawbacks, much of which relates to the environment you plan to use the strobe. There was a discussion on this topic recently here in this thread:

Use of a strobe as an underwater marker for shore diving?

I got (2) of these and I haven't had any problems with them. I've used them to mark entry/exit points, etc. It comes with a velcro strape. I've found adding a couple pound weight to hold it down.

I use exclusively Sea&Sea strobes for both our Nikonos setups and my Sony Digital Setup. On the Nikonos systems I used both a YS-300 and YS-120 and on my Sony I use a YS-27. I have no complaints, except that the YS-27 only reaches about 4-6 feet.
