Magicshine 900 lumen (!) dive light

I recently ordered a Magicshine 900L light for biking from geomangear.com. Apparently, there is now a dive light available from the same manufacturer, though I don't see it yet on geoman's site. DX has it, though.

I'm in the market for a good light for recreational (daytime and warm-water night dives) use and this one looks intriguing. There has been a lot of discussion at mtbr.com about the quality/durability of the Magicshine bike lights, and such issues would obviously be even more critical for a dive light.

900 lumens, rechargeable Li Ion batteries and charger, $81 shipped.

DealExtreme: $81.00 Diving Cree SSC-P7-C-SXO 3-Mode 900-Lumen LED Flashlight Kit (2*18650/4*CR123A/4*16340)

FWIW, I've read some negative things about DX's customer service (on cycling boards), shipping times, etc. I've read great reviews of geoman and have emailed him to see if he is going to carry this light. He is usually a little more expensive than DX but very responsive, etc. YMMV, yadda yadda yadda.

Did you pay $81.00 or less with Free S&H?
Did it come with a total of 6 "O" rings?

Just curious

Sorry if I wasn't clear, but I haven't ordered this (or any other dive) light. I ordered a bike light on another website but haven't taken the plunge on a dive light yet. I just posted this to see if folks had any thoughts or experience with it.

I'm still waiting to receive the bike light.

has anyone tried this and compared it to another high end light?

just seems really bright for $81 bucks.

The ssc-p7 emitters are around 500 lumens. I compared my homemade maglite conversion to my Dive rite h10 which is a 500 lumen HID. And the h10 was briter. Another comment on lumens, the way they come up with a lumen is without anysort of reflector on the bulb/emitter. The reflecter will change the amount of light output, so lumens is a great indicator of how bright a light is but it really is not relevant as a means of measure for a dive light.

My light is on the postal delivery truck to be delivered today.....as long as my wife is home to sign for it.
Once I get it in my hot little hands, I'll write more.

Arrived the other day....charged the batteries but haven't had it in the water yet.
Did play with it a bit side by side vs my current primary (UK 1500) and a household 8AA halogen.
This thing kicks both their @sses.
I can't wait to try it out in the water.
