beer before diving.

Not sure if this is for the man law forum but it is where i am at.
I will not hunt with someone who has drunk even a beer before heading in the woods. I will not target shoot either. I will not ride in a boat with a driver drinking. Do you or would you dive with some who had drunk even one beer before heading out. I drink do not have a proplem with it. But when it comes to driving hunting or anything remotly deadly it stays away.

I will not, and in one instance did not. We were going to do a dive at the Ginnie ballroom. We were heading down to the water to get in and our "buddy" decided to chug down his beer and go with us. We had not ended our day of diving yet so we had only been drinking water. We got to the water and made our way down before he could get his gear together. He was a little angry after the dive but we pointed out that he had chuged his beer to go diving and maybe that was a little unresponisble on his behalf. This "buddy" got my self and him into a dangerous situation a couple of months later and I did not dive with him since. Point is, if you are drinking before diving, i am not diving with you. Also i will not dive with someone if they decide to drink right out of the water. After everything is packed up and we are done diving and out of the water for an hour hour and a half that is fine.

For me it's all down to whether or not someone is capable of rescuing both themselves and me. If their judgment is impaired through drink or drugs, I'll find another buddy and as Dive Marshall, I'd prevent them from diving that day.

It's all down to whether or not someone poses a danger to themselves or their buddy in the water. I'd far rather dive with someone who has had a beer and is a fit, experienced and capable diver than some of the insta-buddies you get lumbered with on cattle-boats.

Do not get me wrong. I drink i love my vodka. And my wine. But not into drinking and activitys that might get me killed or hurt. Not to say if me a buddy where going to a dive and we stoped my a resturant and he had one beer with lunch that i would not dive. I guest it comes down to the time and place it all happens. Diving with one beer may be ok. But where do you draw the line two three one or two and a shot of vodka. Plus does anyone know the effects beer or liquare has on ones mind under 60 or 100 feet of water.

Brother, I am offering a little too much info.

Don't dive, drive,fly, pilot a boat, skydive, hunt etc while intoxicated.

Unless you are an Aussie.
