Mares bought Sherwood?

Big Scuba trade show this weekend, so someone there will definitely know about this if the rumor is true (esp the manuf reps that will be there). If no one has determined the true story by the show, I'll see if I can remember to ask and post back.

Mares has reps on Scubaboard... post it in the manufacturer specific sections there... might get more reads..

I wouldn't let their website not having it make it 'not true'. those companies rarely update their websites like we as users would think they should.

I got it from the most reliable source of all...sitting around shooting the bull with a bunch of divers.

It would be weird, because Sherwood makes so much other stuff related to gas cylinders, like valves for CO2 bottles for soda fountains, and valves for cutting torches.

If true...I wonder if Sherwood sold only the scuba division, or if they sold out everything?
