My mares brigade...

hey guys,

I've got one from ST a few months ago. When i tried to breath from it, it's really wet.. watery in the octo. is it supposed to be like that?

i've tried to blow hard, thinking of getting rid of the water.. but after a while, the water goes in again. ... is it defective or something?

thanks.

With side exhaust regs, they don't really clear all the water on each exhale the way a conventional reg does where the exhaust is sitting at the bottom of the reg. I think you'd find that a slight tilt with the exhaust down - and it will stay very clear.

Water can really only get into a reg in one of 3 places - between your lips and the mouthpiece, between the mouthpiece and the housing, or through the exhaust valve.

If it's the first - changing how you hold it in your mouth is the only solution, if it's the second, then seeing if the zip tie is good and tight and no cracks have developed in the mouthpiece is the answer, if it's the 3rd... then we'd have to take a look at it and maybe replace the exhaust valve.
