Clear Skirt and Bio Fins

Well, I still have yet to pop my salt cherry but....I did dive today with the new Bios and got a chance to dive my black fino then swap to the clear fino. I'm now a Bio Fins fan for life, the claims of less air consumption is true. It was extreamly evident.

I have come to the conclusion that I'll never dive a clear skirt mask by choice again. It will stay in the gear bag as a back up.

64 degree bottom temp I used a 2mil shorty under a 3 mil full suit with the new pinnacle merino 5mil hood 2 dives and 2 hours in the water I never even started to get cold.

I agree that when I used the Bio Fins My air consumption was less (this is Subjective as I have not Crunched any numbers related to my air consumption with the Bios), but I feel that I had the ability to generate more speed with my VOLO Power Fins. Both were equally comfortable in the water.

As to the Clear Vs Black Skirt - I did experience glare for the first time with my clear skirted mask today, but we were in such shallow water that I'm not sure that that would be a concern. I have never before had that problem with my clear skirt.

Good Day of Diving Goober !!
Hope I don't need a new reg ..... I do need to check into a better compass - Thank God for E-bay

Just wait until you get dialed in with the Bios. It took me a long time. They are simply amazing. The first and still the best split fin out there.

I have the Volo Powers, I can feel the power but at times I they're still too much on my weak calf. I have been thinking for months to convert to Bio Fins, there isn't a place for me to try on before I buy, do you think it's worth it to ditch the Volo Power for the Bio Fins, if I wanna get easier kicks?

Yea, I used to think clear skirts are less claustrophobic, but as soon as I see the skirt starts getting yellow, I sold it - I couldn't stand it. I'm now a black-skirter and there isn't really much of a difference in terms of tunnel vision etc, yet don't need to worry about the skirt getting discolored
