Just saw this thread... very good information here. I own an AGA, and really like it. One nice feature is that because you can breathe through your nose, the dry tank air isn't a big deal... your nose warms and moistens the air as you breathe... no more dry throat. OTS just came out with a new line of masks called the Guardian... they come with an ambient air valve preinstalled, and come with a hose and mask bag. I want to get an ambient air valve and bag for my AGA, but think I'll spend that money on a new Guardian, instead. Joe and Larry are going to start carrying these in the store, I believe... they can hook you up with one as soon as they become available. ![]() |

The ambient air valve is the way to go. I have added one to my AGA and it is very sweet addition. I have used "The Gill" and liked it OK but the OTS Ambient air valve is much better. Even when entering water with it accidently open it will not flood your mask. I have not dove the Guardian but I will hopefully be looking at one shortly. I may be taking an AGA tech refresher class from John Hott with OTS who will be bringing some Guardians.
I hear they even make the Guardian in PINK! |

The Interspiro and Divator masks each use the same facepiece seal, but the lens and breathing assemblies are of different designs... one for SCBA use, one for NATO Gas mask cartridges, and one for SCUBA. There are also breathing assemblies available for rebreather use. Once facepiece, many applications. I understand that the Guardian masks are a back-to-the-drawingboard design, for the purpose of bringing a recreational full-face mask to the market. |
