For some reason, I don't hate them but they feel so weak compared to full fins, no power whatsoever although very smooth.

Why would they go out? They are currently the top performing fins. Until other fins are proven to be unequivocally beter, then they will be here.

They make dive companies a ton of money.

They're top performing in terms of raw MPH, and that's the only number people care about, since things like sensitivity and maneuverability are a lot harder to quantify.

They're here to stay.

well said but I still wonder if a person using split fins could really go faster than someone using blade/paddle fins

could anyone show many any tests preformed?

my feet cramp easily and split fins help out a lot. i love my oceanic v-12.

Definitely here to stay, Mares finally just introduced a split probably because they were tired of not being able to cash in on that market. Everyone doesn't have to use them I just want them to be available so I can use them.

Go to the apollo biofins website, they have links to the testing. In general splits do outperform on speed.
