What size are you thinking about? The foot pocket or the blade?
A lot of divers love them.

I like mine. They are a great fin for many different styles of kicks.

I have a friend who uses them and LOVES them, but fins are a very personal preference, so if you can, try them out before you buy.

Try the fins with the boots you wear. If possible borrow a friends a few times to see if you like diving with them.

I have never used split fins, how do they work with the frog kick which is my primary source of transportation

They are pretty much the ideal fin for the frog kick. They are pretty terrible at the flutter kick, however, unless you have seriously strong legs.

They are a heavy fin, being solid rubber. This is lousy for travel, and lousy for people who have trouble with their feet sinking when they're trying to stay level. OTOH, it's fabulous for people who are "head heavy" and need help the other way, and similarly, often are good for drysuit divers who benefit from a little stabilization (without the need for ankle weights) to avoid going feet-first.

I really like mine. My favorite fin for 90% of my diving.

I think he's referring to the regular jet fins, not the twin jets.

I am plagued with the "feet heavy" thing, so I guess jets are out for me. I have heard that the twin jets are buoyant, does anyone know if that's true? If it is true, are they buoyant enough to lighten the feet a tad?
