Ocean Reef Full Face masks

I have been looking into the neptune series for dive masks, and I honestly cannot tell the difference between the neptune II, the space, predator, raptor, etc. can someone enlighten me on this subject? also would the H08 Helmet be worth the money?

I have the Neptune Space Predator, which I like. I chose the predator because I could get it for less than the Neptune Space. The raptor looks sweet, and I believe it is O2 clean, so you could use it with a gas block and switch between back gas and deco, etc...

Having said that, I would avoid the Neptune II, which was pretty much the first generation mask, and the regulator integration is not nearly as good as that of the Space series.

As for the helmet, this one kind of confuses me. If I really thought I was going to be banging my head into stuff, I'd learn better fin control, or just strap on a rock climbing helmet if you need one I guess. If you wear the helmet out for open reef dives, I'm sure you will get some strange looks.

I'd say that the masks made by AGA are superior to the ocean reef masks in some regards (the ocean reef prescription system is the best, and I like their surface air valve more), the only issue is cost. So if money is no object, you might want to give those a look.

That should give you something to start with.

yeah i saw the helmet witht eh mask and it looked like it all came together as one piece. I thought it would be something different. So going back, the masks have a regulator built into the mask?

Yes, the second stage is integrated into the mask.

I have the raptor with the H08 helmet, and use it on all dives. I like the system and together, it looks better. I do open reef dives, and really have never had anyone say anything, but that they liked it. Maybe it's my age, but everyone thought it looked cool.

Does anyone use the Kirby Morgan Supermask?
I've only seen Cousteau using them on TV but I can't find any reviews or other info from this mask.
