I don't/haven't used this mask personally, however I have sold a few of these. Supposedly they improve the contrast and color underwater, but I'm not sure about that. Light loses colors as it travels through water, and since red is the first color to go, these lenses are supposed to compensate for that. Unless you are using an artificial light source, I'm not sure how you can regain the red color of the spectrum through the use of a lens.

Lol, I never thought of it that way. Supposedly it restricts certain wavelengths to make the colors more balanced, but it seems like if you cut out the other wavelengths that are left... green, blue, and violet... you wouldn't be able to see anything at all.

My dive instructor uses one of those, and says they work great...

I'm glad you asked about this mask!
I have eyeballed it myself.
I had that $50 GC in mind.

I think I am going to get it and if it isn't good then I guess I just buy a new normal one.

I just thought {give me room blond thinking} it would make the color spring more to life. I want to see all that I can see when I am under. One day I want to get into underwater photography. I love diving and I love taking pictures.
