Prescription Mask ~
I recently learned I have naturally occurring monovision (near sighted in one eye and far sighted in the other.) Any advice on what type of mask I could get so I'll be able to see critters in the distance and still be able to check my gauges?

Any mask that has two separate lenses and has prescription lenses available should fit the bill. The lenses are sold individually so you can get a plus diopter for the farsighted eye and a neg diopter for the nearsighted one. The two I like are the mares x-vision and the tusa splendive.
You can also get a mask with custom lenses ground to your exact prescription, but this is usually a waste of money unless you have an astigmatism greater than 1.25 or 1.5. The stock prescription lenses are available from +3 to -6 diopters in steps of .5 Off the shelf lenses do not address astigmatism, only the standard distance (spherical) correction. |

I have bought several prescription masks from Welcome to Prescription Dive Mask and been very happy with each.

glad i stumbled onto this one. i had thought briefly about getting one but didnt know where to start and how hard it would be. i do worry about diving with a prescription mask and not having contacts in and then having my mask knocked off... but at least i have a point to start looking into them.
