The one that is comfortable on your face and seals well.
There isn't any rocket science to it.

I use a Tusa Platina and I love it. It fits my (oval) face well, is under $50 and I was able to purchase Rx lenses for it. It is very low volume for easy clearing and low drag and has a wide field of vision. I also like that it came in an all black option which is supposed to be better for photography. Check it out.

There are tons of great masks under $50. If you only wanted to spend $20, then yeah, that would kinda limit your choices. I personally love the Tilos Frameless. ST has them for $45.95 less your discount. Great mask for the money. I'll admit that I bought mine when they were new on the market, and paid much less than that, but it's still a great mask for the $.

black or clear skirt?

someone stated that black skirt is suppose to be better for photography. Could anyone explain why?
I'm about to get my self a new mask in the near future, but although I'm not a profesional, I think it something to consider

The black skirt doesn't let any glare in from the sides, so it's a little easier to see the screen on the camera. I actually just recently discovered this for myself, and yep it's true.

As has been said a well fitting mask, Ill pay anything for a mask that fits well and doesnt leak, finally settled on an Apollo Bio-metal w/black skirt, I find with the black skirt I can focus easier as there is no glare coming in through the skirt, think car side window sunny day, but its a little more than you want to spend, I paid around $110. Just try lots on and buy the one that fits best. Good luck.

I still say the best mask is the one that fit the best. I bought my mask from the lds and made sure the fit was perfect. I dive a Cressi Big Eye and I love it. No leaks and with the tear shaped lenses I can see the front of my BC with a quick glance down.

If it's a great fit then my suggestion is pay whatever it costs.... and buy more than one if you can. The best mask I ever owned was call the Hawaii from US Divers and I bought it almost 20 years ago. I finally had to retire it about 5 or 6 years ago and haven't been able to get one I like as much as that ever since... still looking and if I ever find one I like as much as that one I will definitely buy more than 1.
