Did something stupid and need snorkel keeper for Oceanic pocket
My first dive yesterday was pretty rough and culminated in me donating my mask to the snorkel gods. I'm willing to chalk up the lost mask as a learning lessen, but the problem is that it had the velcro snorkel attachment for my Oceanic pocket snorkel. Is there anyway I can get a replacement without having to buy a new snorkel?

I have gotten replacement swivel clips for Tusa snorkels and replacement strap adjustors for Mares masks before from ST; and they both only cost a couple of bucks. They seen to stock a large inventory of repair pieces and parts, and they carry oceanic. Give 'em a call on Monday.

Hate to disappoint Split, but in this case stupid isn't all that exciting. Instead of keeping my mask on my head while I was trying to fix an issue with my bc, I clipped, or thought I did, it off to my tank yoke. Needless to say, when the DM asked me to doff my bc and float it to him, off went mask into the muck. Of course it fell off right we had stirred up the silt something awful.
The story has a happy ending though. I got a call this evening from some of the folks that were diving the class with us yesterday. Low and behold my mask was found by some of the kind folks at the Tulsa Aquanauts. I figured that losing my mask was the cost of being stupid, but am glad to have run into such great people. With people like these, it's not hard to understand why diving is so alluring. Thanks Aquanauts. |
