New type of defog; what should I try?
I'm looking for some new defog for my mask and can't get the old brand I always trusted. Sure I can spit in the mask... or use kitchen soap... But if I'm to buy some (from scubatoys of course
), what type do you recommend? What kind of success have you had with it?More specifically, for cold water... Cheers! ![]()

I've always wondered...
When you use spit, are you supposed to rinse it or go down with the spit on the lens? Also, this is supposed to work really well. Fogdoc Edit: I havn't used it so I'm on reporting from reviews. Last edited by SlvrDragon50 : 07-10-2009 at 01:31 PM. |

The whole point behind 'defog', spit, and dish soap is the lubcricant. There's no super secret agent in a $10 bottle of defog other than about $0.25 worth of detergents.
To put it simply, a dirty mask will fog and a clean one will not, so clean it however you like. Unless your mask is filthy, 9 times out of 10 spit is just as an effective detergent as that $10 bottle of defog. |
