Yes I use them they are light way lighter then jets so that should solve your problem. I use them when I travel because of their weight, though they are pretty sturdy mine have 20 dive an many miles and still look new.

Before you go buy new fins, adjust your trim by moving your tank and/or adjusting the weight placement on your body. That'll have more impact than switching fins; The jets are only slightly negative.

Also, the Vipers are good fins. I won a pair at a charity raffle (ScubaToy's was the benefactor that donated the fins and many other items BTW ) and use them for almost all my dives now. They have the power from the standard flutter kick that my splits have, but have ten times the maneuverability capabilities and work well with the modified flutter and frog kicks.

the thing with jets is that its HEAVY for travelling...so which is why im looking at Vipers or APS Mantas. APS Mantas seems to be what i am looking for...short padddle fins and light weight!
