ScubaPro Jet Fins Sizing Issue

I want to purchase some Jet Fins; however, I cannot find a dive shop near me that has them in stock to try on. It is my understanding that they tend to run larger than normal. Currently, I wear a large in Aeris Mako fins. My foot size is 10D. Any ideas? Thanks.

Womens Med 9-10 large 11-12 XL 13-14
According to their web page also if you order then and they dont fit on land in your house not in the pool or the dirt then you can always send them back! also keep in mind if you will be wearing boots or not I am a 11.5 and wear a XL when wearing boots and a large when not

Don't do it! 10D (in mens) with boots on requires XL at least - we are talking about jet fins, right, not twin jets? XXL is huge so forget it.

If you are female then I'm not sure, the XL might still be the right choice.

Also, the XL's blade is a little longer than L blade and imo better, more propulsion.

I agree, if you're wearing hardsole boots you'll need XL at least.

I actually went through this process myself... I am also a 10D.

This is what I did...

I first bought a pair of Large JetFins on ebay... wayy too small... I gave that pair away.

Then, I bought the XL JetFin... it worked with my "slipper" dive shoe, but not with my hard sole dive boot, which I prefer... I sold that pair on ebay.

Next, I bought the XXL JetFin... they were WAYYY too huge... you could park a car inside those foot pockets. Better than the XLs, but so big they flopped around... I sold that pair to a friend of mine who was just getting into diving and needed to buy his gear.

Dillemma... if only there were a size between XL and XXL that would work!

Solution: A similar fin made by XS-Scuba called the "Turtle Fin" did the trick... it comes in only one size which they call XXXL... but relative to the Jetfin sizing, it is between XL and XXL. That fin fits perfectly!

So, my advice based on my "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" experience is to give the Turtle Fins a try... ScubaToys sells them too

Well DiverBry, you get my vote for most creative post anyway. Goldilocks and the Three Bears...that would certainly sum up many divers' gear purchases.

I wear a 10 dive boot with a hard sole (Scubapro) and fit the XL jets. With my drysuit I have a bigger boot and use the XXL for those. Sounds like you could do both with the turtle fin if the foot pocket is that big.

I considered the OMS Slipstreams....heard some folks say they are more comfortable and easier to fit, yet comparable to the Jets.....still considering them, actually.

AGREE! I have a 9.5 and am verry uncomfortable with a hard sole boot in the large. The soft booty is workable for me.
