Mares Liquidskin

Finally got around to buying one of these this weekend. Soooo comfy. The best part is it didn't hardly fog!

So did you clean it with Seabuff/toothpaste prior to using?

They are very, very comfortable. I've tried several on, diving with one in the pool once. Glad you got a good one!

I rubbed some 500 PSI in it a few minutes before I got in the water. I think we did about a 45 minute dive and I only had to clear the mask twice. It was a nice experience considering my last mask took about 20 dives before it stopped fogging constantly.

I was in the DFW area this weekend and went by ST looking at different things and I had been wanting a new mask anyway so I decided to just try on just about every mask that caught my eye. I had been wanting a black skirted mask and had been looking at an Atomic but when I tried on that Mares Liquid Skin silver skirted model I was instantly hooked. I added a neopreme strap cover and all I can say is WOW. Ive buffed the lens several times with Sea Buff getting it prepped, but havent had a chance to dive with it yet.

So it doesn't come in black? Or were they just out of that color?

I'm wanting to know the same thing. I see a grey & black, but not a solid black.

They come in black/grey. It's a great mask (that's the one I used in the pool).

No,... it dont come in a completely black model. But the silver is not transparent, so it will offer all of the same advantages that a black skirted one would, and it will not turn yellow like clear. Part of the inner skirt is black and the part that touches your skin is the silver.

I have the black/gray mask and it has the same function as a 100% black mask. The mask is super comfortable, has a very low volume making it easy to clear and provides a pretty darn good field of view. Anyone out there considering buying one, do it! You wont regret it! As far is pricing...it seems like most shops online are selling them for 90 dollars. Charlotte, stop by the LDS in Salesville where I got mine and you can pick one up for $66 (they have several colors). I did come across one site online selling them for 67 so maybe ST would match that if you wanted to buy there? Like I said though, if anyone is around Mt. Home, AR, you can get one at A Scuba'ah for $66.
