So I just got a mask, and it hits my nose - right on the bridge of my nose - but only when I'm in the bottom of the pool. Did I buy the wrong mask?

Make sure you don't have it strapped too tightly. I thought my mask was way too small in OW class. It gave me headaches! Once though, I took it off to put on some sunglasses I found at 60 FSW and when I put the mask back on (discovered you can't see diddly squat underwater with sunglasses on) I pulled the strap alot looser on accident. Suddenly, it fit better! It stopped leaking! My head didn't hurt! WOW!!

Simply wearing it only as tight as needed helped me alot!

i see lots of people wearing masks with the strap stretching tight. for one, it's harder to put on that way, but most importantly, it can make things more uncomfortable. i have mine just barely tight enough where it doesn't move around. then, once you're in the water, the pressure keeps it stuck. but also, as mentioned above, remember to clear your mask so you don't get 'squeezed'

I have what my wife calls a "cro-magnon" forrehead, and I had the same problem, I had to look arouond a lot to find a mask that didn't push on mt forehead above my nose, I got an Aqualung Hawaii II, it is comfortable. I hace also tried a Scubapro Clear Vu, but it has the clear side panels, which I found distracting, but some people don't mind that.

As already stated, strapping it on TOO TIGHT will cause problems, even if the mask would otherwise fit perfectly.

I have the same problem - most masks hit the bridge of my nose.

Check out the Oceanic Ion or the Ion 2 Purge. Plenty of room for those with high nose bridges.

Try a different mask, I had issues with an Oceanic Ion mask hitting me on the underside of my nose and made 5 minutes in the water unbearably painful.

<DIV>My X-Vision does that too... only I don't really notice until I surface. Otherwise the mask fist like a glove! I'll probably replace it with a frameless at some point.. Maybe the Oceanic Shadow? (i think that's the frameless...)</DIV>
