I picked up a set of Atomic spring straps for my split fins. The standard straps are very nice, but the spring straps are super over built. They are the way to go if ease of donning is an important factor. The tension is just right so no cramping issues. The standard straps are backup now, though I could not imagine these straps breaking.

I have had spring straps on my SP TwinJet Pros for as long as I can remember...I wouldnt dive without them!

I have ziptied the spring strap buckle to the fins buckle on all 4 points incase the rare event of a failure I can keep on going w/o missing a kick..

You also then have the old straps in your save-a-dive kit just in case

Spring straps are awesome. I have a pair of Mantas I bought from Scubatoys several years ago on my IDI Frogfins. Perfect, and very easy to use with drysuit gloves on.

Not having to futz with buckles is very nice.

An added bonus - I wear the same fins with my drysuit as I do my wetsuit, no adjustments needed. I just can't wear them with bare feet (not that you'd want to)

I bought a pair of Innovative Scuba Stainless Steel Spring Fins Straps, from divesports that I love. SS attachments and then just the ease of getting them on and off is worth the price alone. Not to mention the peace of mind of not having a plastic buckle break just before you step off the boat. That happened to me which is why I got those spring straps.

Spring straps make my life much easier. I primarly do beach entries, and it is nice to hook them on and not fight with the clips.

Also I use a snap hook and clip them on the BC so I can just walk in with both hands free.
