Apollo Bio Fin
OK, I am sure this has been dealt with many times before but for the life of me I haven't found it! I have just received nice new bio fins, size medium but the foot pocket is incredibly wide, too wide. Everything else is the perfect size though. Do I need to go and get myself some thicker booties in the hope that makes is better or is it just not the fin for me?

I just bought a pair of med. Bios and also think that the pocked is a bit wide for my size 9 soft sole booties. But I don't feel like the wide pockets affect me in any way nor have I perceived that little bit of extra space on either side as a problem now that I have a few dives with them. If anything, it'll allow me to upgrade to a hard sole boot in the future if I ever feel the need to thanks to the extra space.
My advice would be to go try them out over a dive or two; or maybe some pool time. You'll probably find what I did; the extra space really isn't a big deal because they're made of the flexible rubber which just wraps around your foot instead of plastic or something that would make that pocket stiffer and would allow your foot to slip around. Let us know how they work out! ![]() |

Excellent choice with Apollo biofins! If your booties are soft soles, then you will probably need to go smaller size or get different booties. I have 2 biofins - one pair is medium, that's for drysuit's rockboots and other one pair is small, for wet booties (hard soles and soft soles).
